Dr. Erin Cougle
My name is Dr. Erin Cougle and I chiropractor at the Whitby Chiropractic Centre. I started at the Whitby Chiropractic Centre in September 2019. I graduated from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology receiving my degree in Kinesiology and from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College receiving my doctorate in Chiropractic.
My objective is to help my patients with their goals in regards to their injuries, rehabilitation, and overall health with an evidence-based, individualized treatment plan. Within these treatment plans, I can incorporate a range of different treatment strategies.
Treatment Strategies include:
Spinal and extremity manipulations/mobilizations
Soft tissue therapy (myofascial release technique)
Acupuncture (Dry Needling Techniques)
Rehabilitative Taping Techniques
Low level cold laser therapy
Rehabilitation exercises and education
Prior to attending post-secondary school, I always had interests in working in a health care profession. I took an interest in a chiropractic profession due to my past involvements in sports including softball, rugby and field hockey. The use of hands-on treatments were able to help the injuries that I experienced during these times. I have also taken an interest in working with the senior population after working at the Victorian Order of Nurses as an exercise therapist. I had many opportunities to work with many individuals with various conditions such as osteoarthritis, post-stroke complications, complications after falls, hip/knee replacements and many more.
Unlike Dr. Ely, I do not have the certification to work with animals, however I look forward to working with people of all ages and getting to see all the animals in the clinic!
